Forbes Flatlands Hang Gliding Championship 2020


Practice flying Friday the 3rd of January
Registration: Friday 3rd from 10:00-12:00 & 1600-1800 at HQ. 
1st Competition day Saturday January 4th, 2020
8th (Last) Competition day  Saturday January 11th, 2020

Where: BMIA Bill Moyes International Airport (The paddock north of the Forbes Airport)

FAI Cat 2 and HGFA, AAA for Open Class and HGFA AA for Sport Class

*Sports class will have their own task set each day.

What you need:

  • Hang Glider (well maintained!)
  • Harness (well maintained)
  • GPS or GPS/vario
  • Tow release and bridle
  • Recently repacked parachute
  • Helmet
  • Current HGFA membership
  • VHF Rating and equipment (more info)
  • Aerotow Rating


Entry Fee which includes Entry Fee, Welcome dinner, Presentation dinner, Trophies and Forbes T-shirt.

$350 if paid before 7th November
$400 if paid before 7th December
$450 if paid after 7th December
$450 if paid at registration

Aerotow Fee $450 which includes unlimited tows, club and site fees for 10 days.
